What sports fans make the best bingo players? Baseball fans, no doubt.
It just makes sense. Hockey and basketball is such a fast moving game and bingo is the antithesis of this.
Baseball moves along at a slower pace and culminates in some very exciting action late in the game. Same with bingo. Yelling "bingo" at the end of a game is the same as a walk off homerun in the bottom of the ninth.
Football fans would find
bingo boring, I think. The reason is that there is no defense in bingo. You can be having a great game, but the guy next to you might be getting more
bingo numbers called than you are. I would think this would be very frustrating to a football fan playing bingo. I mean, what are you going to do: tackle the lady sitting next to you?
Thankfully, smoking is now banned in all sporting events in the USA, even in outside venues. I remember people smoking at baseball games just a few years ago. Personally, I'd report them to the ushers, but most people just put up with it. It's the same with bingo. Only recently did bingo halls in most states impose a smoking ban. That's a good thing, because bingo fans are notorious smokers and now their health will ultimately improve.
I've always felt that September was the best sports month of the year. College football and the NFL start their regular seasons and baseball is in the stretch pennant races. Hockey and basketball are in pre-season with games just around the corner. So, when you are not at a game, you probably have a lot of games to watch on TV. This is a month when a lot of bingo players stop going to the local bingo hall move to playing
online bingo so they can watch their favorite teams on TV while playing. You see, when you play
internet bingo, the cards are daubed for you so if there's an exciting play on TV, you can watch it, knowing that you won't be cheating yourself in the bingo game.
